Nest

2026
Nest establishes a parallel between camera obscura and the nests of solitary bees. In both, there is a small opening and a dark, protected cavity. In the camera obscura, these conditions allow an inverted image of the surroundings to form; in the nest, they make the development of life possible. Just as the nest shelters the larva, the camera obscura shelters light — and the image that forms inside it is also a form of habitation. The work remains open to the action of time and natural processes. The landscape projected inside the cameras, the occupation of the tubes by bees, and the transformations of the vegetation cause it to change continuously.
