I develop photography workshops based on the manual construction of cameras and optical devices and on the production of images. Camera obscuras, pinhole photography, photograms, cyanotypes, anthotypes, chemigrams, and other processes are carried out directly with the materials, allowing participants to observe how images are formed.
Designed for participants of all ages, the workshops take place in schools, museums, and cultural institutions. Building, testing, observing, dismantling, and rebuilding are central actions in these proposals. Over 13 years of work as an educator, I have developed workshops for different ages and contexts, in which participants learn photography by building and testing their own devices and processes.
