I am a visual artist and educator. My practice starts from photography to investigate relationships between light, time, matter, and space. I primarily work with analog optical devices, alternative photographic processes, and experimental situations that question the automatisms of the technical image.
I am interested in creating conditions for an image to emerge, rather than simply producing it. Camera obscuras and pinhole cameras, diverse materials, and processes that incorporate chance, error, and the ephemeral turn photography into a field of experimentation, in which the outcome is never entirely predetermined.
My research is accompanied by an educational practice developed in museums, schools, and cultural spaces. I hold bachelor's degrees in Social Sciences from USP and in Social Communication from PUC-SP, and have been working with the Cidade Invertida group since 2017.
